Data Submission
The International Council of Scientific Unions, in Resolution 8 of its 22nd General Assembly, recommended that "...all ICSU members support the fundamental principle of open exchange of data and information for scientific purposes." In the spirit of this resolution, WDC/NSIDC encourages users of data distributed online and in other forms by WDC/NSIDC, to consider contributing their own published data to the WDC/NSIDC archive. Placing your data with NSIDC makes them available to your peers and colleagues, secures your work, furthers scientific research, and adds to the referenced body of scientific knowledge. We acknowledge all our data providers in documentation, metadata (DIF), and references. We are also willing to hold or restrict data distribution until providers publish. If your data is a result of funding from a specific program where NSIDC has been designated as a data archive please go to one of the specific program links below. If your data are not the result of one of these programs, we are still interested in archival provided the data fit within the mission of NSIDC and appropriate funding can be identified. Please complete our general data submission form to initiate a discussion of the content, form, and size of the data set you would like to contribute. Data Submission for Specific ProgramsFollow the links below for information about submitting data for specific programs at NSDIC and to access the programs' data submission forms. |
